The 29thMEU, MARSOC is a fictitious Military Simulation unit. This Unit is only a simulation and participates in MilSim airsoft events. It is strictly a sport/hobby and by no means affiliated with any political, military or militia type organizations. All members & recruits actively participate in military style role play for enjoyment purposes only. Our internal structure is utilized to build discipline and create a cohesive element that operates effectively and efficiently on and off the simulated battlefield.

Welcome to the Ranks of the 29th MEU
I would like to take this moment to congratulate Mark Krausz in his successful completion of the Recruit process. At this time Mark has earned the privelage of wearing the 29th MEU unit patch through his dedication and actions to the unit both on and off the field. Mark exemplifies everything we are looking for in recruits and members. Mark adds value and brings additional teamwork to the table. Welcome to the 29th MEU Mark and keep up the hardwork for the unit.

Multiple Warning Orders (WARNO) have been issued. All 29th MEU members and recruits need to engage in reviewing these orders through the 29th MEU Forum. You are required to respond with intent so field commanders can finalize all squad assignments and augmentations to balance all combat elements in preparation of impending missions.

Preparations are in effect for deployment to Operation Eastwind III, March 2010. We will do this, not because it is easy, but because it is hard!

CAA (aka "Chicago Airsoft Association" )
Chicago Airsofting Types,
The Chicago Airsoft Association, was founded in 2000 by a group of dedicated and self motivating individuals that demanded a standard level of safety and a fun atmosphere in which to play the sport.
In the year 2003 the organization was restructured toward team membership rather then individual membership due to the overall request of the organization and the fact that team leaders wanted a way to command their teams and recruit from outside of the organization on their own terms.
Then in 2006, the CAA lost membership due to a combination of internal struggles and began losing ground due to the massive influx of open games in the area. The open games, due to their frequency became an easier way to play every time an individual wanted to play with a small group without the organizational aspects of a team or large organization.
In 2008, the teams that stayed under the CAA banner began taking note of the changing climate of the open games in both the immediate area and region and observed that there was a lot of cheating, a lot of bitching, and a lot of just not having fun.
The members of the CAA began to grumble about returning to the days when games were private and simple, but wanted to show a dedication to military simulation.
In November 2008, the final parts were put in place and the outline for the plan was set with a short revision of the CAA Charter. Soon after that, the CAA put an open letter to the area airsoft players to see what teams would be interested in the ideals and standards the CAA advocates.
The Chicago Airsoft Association is proud to announce that the 29th Marine Expeditionary Unit has been invited and chose to accept the invitation to join the organization.
The CAA, like the 29th MEU values honor, trust, and friendship and the partnership between the CAA and it’s member teams will only become stronger with the addition of the 29th MEU.
Over the next year the CAA, with its member teams plan to launch into a new type of organizational structure that values friendship and honesty and provides an enhanced atmosphere to play airsoft a set number of times a year in addition to advocating that its members play at open events to support the area event organizers.
The CAA plans to work with area event organizers to produce these games and elevate the level of play for all airsofters in the Chicago area.
For those of you that don’t speak business world syntax, I want to make this simple.
The 29th MEU has shown itself to be a group of airsofters that doesn’t cheat, doesn’t pretend to be something its not, and knows how to kick ass. So were gonna put these guys on point, watch the carnage, videotape it, then laugh about it at the bar afterward.
Welcome 29th MEU, and good luck to everyone that doesn’t have a CAA patch this year... its gonna be a bloodbath.

Codename Thunder V August 9 & 10, 2008
Overall, the Thunder series event for 2008 was a success for the 29th MEU, as it was the first time the unit has run under the new program. Although the Cartel, once again, took the points and the win. Overlooking the win-loss, this unit performed extremely well on the battlefield. All elements performed as they should and accomplished most missions as ordered to carry out by the US Commander. There will be nothing but great progress for this unit's endeavors in the future.
See you on the battlefield.
